Black-and-White vs Color Portraits for Emily’s family

Studio work is my favorite branch of photography. I love the relaxed atmosphere and complete control of light, coupled with the ability to see the results on a larger screen in real time.  It helps the clients relax and they start following my advice with more trust as they see the proof that they look fantastic.

Emily wanted black and white photos and she dressed her family in mono colors - white shirts and blue jeans - for the high-key photographs. All attention is drawn to their faces and such portraits make perfect wall art pieces.

The white background works best for families with children, as their healthy skin and bright eyes are perfectly enhanced by the bright light bouncing around the room. Just add an elegant pose and voilà - a perfect portrait!
