Surprise Engagement Session: Katie and Jake
Katie and Jake got engaged in 2020, and a year later they still hadn’t gotten their engagement photos done. When Katie’s sister Sarah learnt about their relocation to another city, she took the matters in her own hands and secretly plotted a photo session, having received the full support from Jake.

What a gorgeous family - so much love and tenderness in every smile.
Capturing different love stories is probably the most enjoyable part of being a photographer.

Family Mini Session for Anna Chrabaszcz
Summer mini sessions.
Some families are all so handsome and photogenic that it’s hard to believe that they are real people, not professional models. We created a few headshots for Anna Chrabaszcz as well. Just beautiful!

Varsity Girls Lacrosse Game
The final home game of the 2022 season was between Sewickley Academy’s Varsity Girls Lacrosse team and Shady Side Academy on May 9th. The skies were clear and blue which was great for the colorful action shots but very challenging for the players having to overcome the scorching heat and blinding sunshine. What a fight!

This was a very intense fight between Sewickley Academy’s Varsity Girls Lacrosse team and Quaker Valley High School in an away game on May 5th. The girls bad to play overtime to determine the winner. Here’re just a few most dynamic or otherwise significant moments from the event. The rest of the images are in the online gallery available to download until Friday.
Good luck at Shaler HS tomorrow!

Winter Mini Session for Victoria and her new husband
Winter mini sessions.
Victoria booked a session for all her extended family but it was so cold that day that the rest of the siblings chickened out.
I always say that the brave and stoic get it all. Victoria’s session turned into a romantic shoot with her new husband who went along with any idea I came up with on how he could say “I love you” to his young bride in a silent photograph.
I wish all the happiness in the world to this sweet and beautiful couple.
An Ode to Winter with a Macro Lens
Still testing my new Nikon camera, this time with a macro lens Nikkor Z 105mm f/2.8.
Love this prime lens for its versatility. It’s very sharp and produces really beautiful portraits with a swirly bokeh. I can capture a dog running at me at full speed or a bird taking off from a tree branch or a feeder.
Having switched to the macro mode, I can fill the whole frame with a close up of a water droplet frozen mid-flight from a tree leaf at f/18, still hand holding the camera.
All this beauty was captured last week and now the Winter Wonderland has melted away and Spring is in the air. Can’t wait for the cherry blossom!
If you would like to lend me your dog to test this camera’s boundaries, please reach out. :-)
Wedding in the Rain - Alyssa and George

Private Wedding and Yellow Bridges
“Thank you for these beautiful pictures!”
- Olga S.
Olga and Dmitry had a private ceremony at the city magistrate. Olga looked stunning in her white dress and Dmitry was her handsome prince charming. I wish these two love birds a long and happy married life full of wisdom and love to overcome any storms together.
Melanie’s Business Portraits
“You did a great job” - Melanie P.
What does it mean to be yourself? Is it just one personality? How many dimensions of ‘yourself’ are there? Which one do you bring forward during your portrait session?
