Legacy Album for Wendy and her Family

In May 2025, I had the honor of capturing a deeply personal and elegant portrait session for a mother and her two teenage children, photographed in their stunning family home in The Woodlands, Texas. With both children preparing to leave for college, the mother commissioned a collection of timeless portraits—images that would be beautifully printed and preserved in a handcrafted linen-clad album, creating a family heirloom of their last year together at home.

Set against the backdrop of their residence’s architectural elegance—stone façade, a sunlit pool, and a graceful wrought-iron staircase—we created a collection that feels both classic and contemporary. These are not just family photos. They are storytelling portraits—artfully composed, emotionally resonant, and tailored for the spaces where memory lives.

Our focus was intimacy and authenticity: the daughter’s quiet confidence, the son’s growing independence, and the mother’s grace and strength in this transitional season of motherhood. We worked with natural light and refined direction, allowing their personalities and bonds to shape the frame.

The resulting imagery is now housed in a custom-designed album with fine-art prints nestled in a linen box—tactile, lasting, beautiful. This is the kind of photography that speaks softly but lingers long. The kind of heirloom that will be opened years from now with gratitude and emotion.

Heirloom Album

The Size options are Square 6”x6”, 8”x8”, 9.5”x9.5” or 12”x12”, Vertical or horizontal: 6”x8”, 8×12″, 9.5”x13”. This beautiful Italian-made artwork comes wrapped in real leather with an embossed inscription.

This album is a piece of fine art in its own right.

Quality and strength

The quality and state-of-the-art technology are also included in the album: layflat continuous binding, photographic paper, board linings and the smooth leatherette material for the cover.

Finishing

The “Touch” finishing confers an additional tactile feeling that makes these books a full sensorial experience. High quality matte material available in 28 different colors. It is enriched with elegant Touch lamination making it easy on the eyes and velvety to the touch.

64,000 colour combinations

The 40 GoColor shades available for the cover, the spine & back and the GoBox work together to coordinate all aspects of the design of the book and box. The choice of 28 ribbon colours completes a unique and personal combination. Alternatively, the cover, the outside and the inside of the box can be fully coordinated through the wide range of colors, custom images or patterns.

A swatch box with all Colors and Linen samples is available for the customers to see, touch and match their favorite shades.

The Cover

The solid Album Cover perfectly completes the Book by offering yet more value. Spine and back are in Leatherette or Linen, while the covering of the front panel has three options: Leatherette, Linen or Matte laminated photographic paper, fully customisable with a printed image.

The Book

The layflat binding allows you to view the panoramic page without seeing a separation in the seam.

The Box

Choose the color of the Box, the ribbon, and select a transparent or semi-transparent lid. Each box is handcrafted from rigid HDF (High Density Fiberboard) material, then wrapped in Leatherette or natural Linen. The box colour can be chosen for a contrast or tone combination with the colours selected for the cover. The album is also available without the box.

The Pages

Printed on Lustre photographic paper or Offset Tintoretto, the Book can feature 10 to 60 pages (sides), with board linings. Glossy or matte lamination is available on request on Lustre Paper.

The Ribbon

Produced in fine shiny satin, the ribbon is elegantly finished with a swallowtail and is available in a wide range of colours that perfectly complete the tones of the book and box.
