Family Mini Session for Kelly Larmann

Spring and summer mini sessions in Pittsburgh’s North Park.

Meet Kelly Larmann and her beautiful family.  All impeccably dressed and so handsome! There were 2 challenges with this photo session and I think we all did a good job overcoming them. 

One was that there was a newborn baby boy and a vivacious toddler girl in the group. With very young children, one can’t negotiate yet, so all participants had to just go with the flow and do their best to be at the right place at the right time, looking composed and elegant, to capture those precious fleeting moments of this exciting period of their lives. 

The second challenge was the kids’ sleep schedule only allowed for a very short window in the afternoon, so the lighting conditions weren’t ideal as the sun was still too high and too bright. We had to seek shady spots or turn their backs to the sun. Guess which was the youngest members of the family wanted to go! ))

I am presenting just a small portion of images that I personally like most. Guess which one is probably my all time favorite family photo?

These images have been color corrected and to preserve the informal nature of the shoot, no extensive retouching was done.
