“She has shown herself to be an intensely energetic performer on stage, both in rehearsal and in front of an audience. She holds herself to professional standards (and) never misses an entrance, drops a line or gives less than 100 percent at all times. It is a joy to work with such a passionate young artist.”

~ Tim Heavner, Avani’s school teacher of music.

As early as in 8th grade Avani became one of 25 students (out of 137 applicants) accepted for the most prestigious summer arts programs in the country - the Interlochen Arts Camp for Intermediate Musical Theatre in Michigan.

Her stage accomplishments include performing in Heinz Hall as part of the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh and multiple productions any Keystone State Music Theater as well as middle and senior school shows and musicals at Sewickley Academy and summer Performing Arts Camp.

I could sign up under every word of Mr Heavenr’s testimonial as Avani’s photographer. Avani booked a studio session with me to create portraits for acting and musical theater college applications and auditions. We quickly agreed that “low-key” lighting set-up would suit her best by creating mystery and drama. The dark-red top brought just enough color without distracting attention from Avani’s face. During the session Avani effortlessly settled into various poses and it took us only 45 minutes to create a good variety of images to choose from. These 5 were her favorites.

I wish all best luck to this incredibly talented and hard-working performer and look forward to hearing about her new achievements and successes.
